Hello Darling

I usually create my cards with a specific person in mind.  This card was created from "playing" amd it simply evolved.  I recently received the Dots & Stripes Decorative Mask set and wanted to give it a try. I started with a Stampin' Up! Note Card.  Although I am not a pink person, I have fallen for the color Blushing Bride.  So that is the color that I pulled out to create the polka dot pattern.

Then, I used a Sponge Dauber and added ink from my stamp pad onto the Dauber stamping repeatedly onto the circles mask until I achieved the coverage and color I wanted.  (Note – I always have my Grid Paper underneath my project and I secured the mask in place with post-it-notes.)

Then I spritzed the card with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz.  Can you see the shimmer?

I personally love pink and brown together so I pulled out Baked Brown Sugar to stamp the Hello Darling stamp.  I cropped it with a Banner Framelit and then added a scrap of Baked Brown Sugar ribbon (retired) as an accent.  I layered the banner over half of a Tea Lace Paper Doily and more stamps from the Hello Darling Stamp Set.  I embossed the lacey circle in Blushing Bride Emboss Powder for more texture to the card.

This is not my typical card it has more froufrou than I normally put on a card.  I like it – it is a very feminine card.
