Happy Thursday, the gateway to the weekend AND another Pals Paper Arts Challenge. This week we have a Sketch Challenge. It is a simple design and I needed a little more inspiration to determine where to go with it. So I used Pinterest to jump start a color palette.
Here are the two elements I used:
So using Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White and Strawberry Slush I created this card for the PPA Challenge. The flowers are from the Simple Stems stamp set and the sentiment is from So Very Grateful. I used the banner from the Circle thinlits die to cut out the sentiment. And the background texture is achieved with the Arrows Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
One of our Stampin' Pretty Pals, Susan Itell at SimpleStampin often adds dots around her stamped images or sentiments. This is a technique I used years ago with Creative Memories and I simply stopped doing it as I learned new techniques. Yet Susan has reminded me how great it looks. I hope Susan doesn't mind my adding this to my card. Copying is flattery in action!
