Watercoloring is all the rage right now. Soft brush strokes, blending colors and no need to be perfect in your painting lead to a fun creative process.
I fell in love with the stamp set as soon as I saw it in the new catalog. It is called Garden in Bloom. It is a two-step photopolymer stamp set. I used only the outline stamps to create my focal point and then used my Aqua Painter and Night of Navy ink pad to color my flowers.
I used the NEW Thick Whisper White card stock as my card base. (I love that Stamping' Up! listens to their demonstrators and we have been asking for thicker card stock for our card bases.) The DSP is from the new English Garden DSP. Each design of this DSP is more beautiful than the next, I was Ooh'ing and Ah'ing as I opened the package and looked at each sheet. I am so proud of myself for actually using it! Then I matted the flowers with Delightful Dijon and Night of Navy card stock.
The sentiment is also from the Garden in Bloom stamp set.
I used two sentiment stamps on the inside. The top stamp is from Garden in Bloom. The second stamp is from the Me=Grateful stamp set. There are great fonts in this stamp set.
I hope I inspired you to try watercoloring. Thanks for stopping by.
