A quick project inspired by two challenges this week. Unfortunately due to computer WordPress issues I missed my entry into one of them…
Forever Greenery DSP inspired the color palette Mint Macaron and Pretty Peacock. The DSP was used to create the tag elements using my tag punch and trimmed to fit the 4″ x 5 1/4″ background which as created using the retired stamp set Eastern Beauty.
The sentiment is from Concord & 9th’s Simple Sayings stamp set and coordinating die set. The sentiment was stamped in Pretty Peacock and embossed with clear embossing powder. I repeated the heat embossing a second time using Versamark ink the second time. NOTE: to do this you must use your Stamparatus to ensure your stamp is lined up perfectly again.
After embossing the sentiment was cut out with the coordinating die and mounted onto the background with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Before mounting onto the Pretty Peacock card base poke holes through the Mint Macaron card stock and then tie the ribbon through the two tag holes.
A sliver of DSP on the inside carries the theme to the inside of my card.
