Stampin Up Rooted in Nature GDP#140 Thinking of You card Michelle Gleeson Stampinup SU

I love the Global Design Project challenges and the design team never disappoints with their creativity. This week is a Case the Designer Challenge, and the designer is Brian King.

CASE means Copy And Selectively Edit. So here is what I took from Brian’s project: textured element using ink, using nature as the focal point and a thinking of you sentiment.

The Rooted in Nature leaves were heat embossed in Whisper White Stampin’ Embossing Powder. Then using a blender pen I added Fresh Fig and Mango Melody (love this new color) to the leaves. I masked the leaves using post-it notes and then stamped the ink spots from Timeless Textures in Crumb Cake ink and finished it off by adding Crumb Cake ink with a Sponge Brayer.

The finishing touches are a piece of Fresh Fig 1/8″ Sheer Ribbon and three Basic Pearls that were colored with Stampin’ Write Markers.

Sympathy with Abstract Impressions

The new Color Revamp by Stampin’ Up! is fabulous. This card showcases new and returning colors – Soft Seaform, Petal Pink, and Flirty Flamingo. The flower is from Abstract Impressions Photopolymer stamp set and is a three-step stamp which does not need to be lined up to create these beautiful flowers. Using the coordinating Springtime Impressions thinlits I die cut and then snipped out a single flower as an accent. The Leaf punch in Soft Seafoam provided the greenery.

The sentiment is from Avery Elle Loads of Wishes.

I love the coordinating flap on the envelope! TIP: Use 3M Removable Label Tape to mask the main part of envelope so you only ink the flap. The tape is easily removed to use again.

We all mourn the retiring of our SU stamp sets however some stay in my stamp stash for a long time. The inside sentiment is from a hostess set called Bloom with Hope.

Hello Sunshine. Well that is what many would like to be saying here in Southwest Florida The sunshine state has been one rainy state for two weeks with more to come due to a tropical depression..I am hoping my card brings enough sunshine to those experiencing a rainy weekend.

This card was created with several new Stampin’ Up! colors and the Concord & 9th Turnabout wreath stamp. Color combination: Mint Macaron, Garden Green, Soft Seafoam, and Pineapple Punch. The new SU colors are fabulous and will be available for purchase on June 1st.

Happy Saturday! Today I am showcasing a several new products from the SU 2018 – 2019 Annual Catalog launching on June 1st. The inspiration for my card came from Freshly Made Sketches this week.

FMS Final 336-001

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is called Garden Impressions. It comes as a 6 x 6 stack of DSP and the images are stunning. The DSP selected showcases two new colors from the Color Revamp – Soft Sea Foam ♥ and Shaded Spruce.

The focal point was stamped using the new Abstract Impressions stamp set. I used Soft Sea Foam, Shaded Spruce, Pineapple Punch, and Daffodil Delight.

The sentiment was heat embossed in black and from the Abstract Impressions stamp set.
