Today my nephew, Matt turns 18 years old. He is a senior in high school who is busy going to school, filling out college applications, and playing football this Fall. He is a great kid and I am proud of the young man he has become.
I wanted to create a fun card to celebrate such a special occasion. Months ago I pinned a card I liked from a fellow Stampin' Pretty Pal and demonstrator, Shannon Jaramillo. I CASE'd* that card and achieved my goal to create a fun and special card for Matt.
The birthday candles are from the Birthday Candles Jumbo Wheel Stamp. I ordered the wheel, took the stamp off the wheel and then mounted it on Clear Mount Cling stamp foam. This enabled me to use Stampin' Write Markers in Basic Gray and Summer Starfruit to create the candles on the card.
The Designer Series Paper is from Soho Subway and the numbers are from the Alphabets Bigz Die. The Alphabets Die is expensive however you can get this die set for free or at a considerable discount by hosting a Stampin' Up! event. Email me to learn more!
Using my new Envelope Punch Board I created a small 3" x 3" envelope made out of the same Soho Subway DSP and secured it on the inside left flap for a little birthday cash. How fun is that!
I also used my Envelope Punch Board to make a custom color-coordinated envelope. I have it opening at the top so that the card will come out upright.
I think this will be a fun way to celebrate an 18th Birthday.
Thanks for stopping by. If you have any questions please leave me a comment.
Cheers,
Michelle
