Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge #184

Happy Thursday!  I am so excited because I am officially on vacation for two weeks!!!!  It has been a long time since I took two weeks off of work.  I have a tough time taking two days off on the weekend.  So this is a much needed break for me and my entire family.

Here is the sketch for this week's PPA Sketch Challenge challenge:

PPA184

Confession – I am not good at creating these diagonals.  I tried and started ruining some of my favorite NEW Deisgner Series Paper.  So I took creative liberty with this sketch. I put my center rectangle on the diagonal and used the chevron pattern to create illustrate the movement of the sketch.

I did use the new Watercolor DSP from the Occasions Catalog as well as a new stamp set/framelit bundle called Starburst Sayings with the coordinating Starburst Framelits.  I am a push over for Framelits.  I purchase the bundles whenever they are available.

As I have mentioned previously we are traveling for the holiday – not to visit family but to take a vacation.  We decided as a family to create memories rather than get more things.  We leave this evening for Paris!  Our sons have never been abroad so they are over the top excited.  I have set up some posts for you to enjoy and I may even post while on the trip.

Cheers,

Michelle

  1. Oh, wow! Paris, I wish I was going too! We’ve done that a couple of times, Italy & Switzerland once and a Disney cruise another time…so worth it! What a great card to enter today with that world map. I love how that chevron print mimics the diagonals. Thanks for joining us this week, Michelle and have a wonderful and safe trip!

  2. Have a fabulous trip, Michelle! Safe travels. Oh, and should you see this, be sure to have some macaroons from L’Adurre. Melt in your mouth goodness.
Love your card and the beauty of sketches is that they are inspiration and you need not interpret literally.

  3. Great job with the sketch! I have trouble with diagonals as well. Enjoy your trip!!

  4. Great interpretation! Love the map and sentiment! Have a fabulous trip! Bon voyage!
