Three quick and easy cards to create using the Watercolor Note Card & Envelope set in the Occasions Catalog.
This is my favorite of the three using the So Very Grateful stamp set. I have been watching the beautiful watercoloring of other Stampin' Up! demonstrators and believe I have finally started to get the hang of it. The secret? squeezing the top and bottom of your stamp pad together to get some ink on the inside cover and then using your blender pen take a bit of ink from the cover and start to color. It is just the right about of ink on the pen tip to begin coloring. Colors used: Calypso Coral, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Pear Pizazz
I have seen this technique using the stamp from Happy Watercolor to "color" the tulips which are from the Blessed Easter stamp. I steer more to a clean look yet I am glad I tried it. My favorite is part of this card is the font in the Get Well Soon sentiment from the Delightful Dozen stamp set. Colors used: Crisp Cantaloupe and Pear Pizazz
The focal point of this card was created to cover up stamping that did not turn out properly. This is the fun part about crafting you can actually create something completely different when you make a mistake. While life does not give us "do overs", paper crafting does! I used the deco framelits and the You're Lovely stamp set (one of the Sale-a-bration stamp sets) to create the focal point. Don't forget the candy dots for a finishing touch. Sentiment is from Express Yourself a hostess stamp set.
Today our oldest son comes home for Spring break and we are so looking forward to having him home for even a short period of time.
Happy Friday,
Michelle
