This is the final post in my four part series on organizing your craft space. Here are the other posts in case you missed them:
- Organizing your card stock scraps
- Organizing Ribbon, Ink and more
- Organizing punches, dies and embossing folders
This space is really our spare bedroom however we call it the den as when our boys were younger it is where our "cubs" hung out. Now I share the room with our youngest as the X-Box is in this same room. I have secretly been taking over the room as he only has one small space that remains. (don't tell!)
This first picture is looking at my craft space. There is not a lot of space between my table and the doors (to our lanai – the Florida word for patio) but since I always stand to craft it doesn't matter to me. In all our other bedrooms we added recessed can lights but since this was a "spare room" we did not add the lights and now I wish we had. So I have a lot of task lighting.
My table is from Pottery Barn. I got it years ago and and it was the best purchase I have made for scrapbooking and crafting. Look at all the cubby spaces to stash supplies!!
You can see that so many items are just arms length away which makes it fabulous!
As I walk back to into my space the above photo shows you the view I see. I purchased this "bookcase" at Bed, Bath & Beyond last Fall when they were featuring things for dorm rooms. It has been great for holding more stamp sets!
When I am standing behind my table my ink pads, pens and ribbons are just to my right as shown above. See my Stampin' Trimmer on my table top! One of my favorite tools. I use it for every project I do.
And this is my view when I am actually behind my table getting ready to work. I have my grid paper so I can test out images, make notes, and make supply lists. If you look to the left (it is hard to see) behind one of the task lamps I have an old spice rack that I spray painted black and put my buttons in the jars. I can see these accessories at a glance and it spins around easily. In front of that is a Keurig coffee pod holder that I purchased for my embossing powders and glitter.
And far in the distance is my iMac and my Silhouette Cameo (really can't see this though).
Here is a photo when I am crafting…organized chaos right? Is this what your table looks like when you are crafting?
I must clean up after each project, I even do this when I am going to cook dinner. I have to clean up the kitchen then I can start dinner. Does anyone else do that?
Thanks for coming on this journey with me. I enjoyed showing you my space and how I organize all my tools and I hope I gave you some ideas on how to organize your own space.
Happy crafting!
Michelle
ha! Love that you have the need to clean up, too. I like to start fresh, make it look like a bomb went off, then get it all back to fresh.
Space looks lovely!! TFS
Of course that’s what my stamping space looks like! We are creative souls who work in “organized chaos”!
