Bee Happy

Fab Friday Bee Happy

I created this card for the Fab Friday challenge.  Here is the sketch:

FabFri43I often take these challenges literally following the sketch details carefully.  I saw this sketch differently and immediately knew what I wanted to do.  I am pleased with my interpretation.

I created a Z-fold card base.  Utilizing a standard A2 base [ 41/4" x 11"] I scared it at 51/2" and then scored one sided of the card at 2 3/4".  Then using the honeycomb DSP from the new Moonlight DSP Paper Stack I added a DSP layer to the front facing parts of the card.  This leaves the inside flap for writing or my sentiment.

Then using one of the Everything Eleanor stamps I stamped and heat embossed a piece of Whisper White cardstock with Early Espresso Emboss Powder.  Then I punched it out with the large Scallop Punch.

I used the Backyard Basics stamp set and framelits (retired) for the Bee.  The Bee was stamped in Early Espresso ink on So Saffron.

My version of the three arrows are three pieces of ribbon finished with a wooden button tied with linen thread.

Here's a another look…

Bee Happy

I think this is adorable and it would make me happy to get this in the mail!

I am working on getting my Retired Stamps For Sale page up for your shopping pleasure so be sure to stop back over the weekend.

I hope you get time to relax and stamp!
