Seasonal Snapshot for PPA 276

This week’s Pals Part Arts is hosting a sketch Challenge. It is another simple sketch, which are my favorite sketch challenges.

PPA 276 Sketch

The elements are small in the sketch so I searched my stamp sets for small images. I wanted to do something Christmas and found the perfect element within the Project Life by Stampin’ Up! Seasonal Snapshot stamp set. When I saw the font used for wicked, christmas and gather I knew I had to have this set.

StampinMojo, PPA 276, Seasonal Snapshot, Christmas Card

The card is very clean and looks pretty simple. The sentiment, Christmas tree, and star came from the Seasonal Snapshot stamp set. The tree lights are from the Peaceful Pines stamp set. Photopolymer stamps make isolating the tree lights and lining them up onto the stamped tree much simpler.

The star was stamped in Versamark and then heat embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

The tree lights were stamped using the retired gold ink pad and then heat embossed with Clear Emboss Powder. I could have used Versamark and Gold Emboss Powder however I wanted to be able to see where I was stamping the lights exactly. If you are more confident in your ability to line up the lights – use Versamark and the Gold Embossing.

Is this too simple? I think it is simply sweet and would make me smile if I received it.

Make sure you visit Pals Paper Arts today and see what the other design team members created with this sketch.

Thanks for stopping by!
