This week the Global Design Project theme is Love.
So I created this fun Valentine. I have seen several cards with a beautiful watercolor wash as the background. I started out very light (mixing a lot of water from my aqua Painter with the ink). I wanted more punch of color behind the heart die cut so I dabbed my Aqua Painter in more ink.
The color palette is Watermelon Wonder, Blushing Bride and Whisper White.
I used Shimmery White card stock as it handles watercoloring well. I used my Heat Tool to ensure the card stock was dry before adhering it to the Watermelon Wonder base.
After adding the die cut flowers and their Rhinestone centers, I painted the heart die cut with the new Wink of Stella Clear pen. It added a shimmery sparkle to match the Shimmery White card stock.
Here is a closer look, can you see the shimmer created with the Wink of Stella? LOVE this new tool.
The banner is from the Blooming’ Love stamp set and it was cut out with the coordinating framelit from the Large Numbers Framelits Dies.
Are you working on your Valentine’s? How many do you need to create? I would love to hear from you.
