This week’s Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge is from the very creative Rae Harper. I had fun creating with these colors. I love Pool Party and Bermuda Bay together and the Crushed Curry is like adding a ray of sunshine to the mix.
I could have called this post Something Old and Something New because I have mixed it up with a little of both. I used the Large Polka Dot textured embossing folder which is carrying over to the new catty. I then used the NEW Swirly Scribbles Thinlits to add a splash of Bermuda Bay. The flower was created using the Friends & Flowers stamp set from the Occasions catalog that is only available through May 31st. This set coordinates with the Festive Flower Builder Punch which is carrying over. I love when I have more than one stamp set to use with a punch or set of Big Shot dies.
I used the Banner Framelits for the sentiment which came from the April Paper Pumpkin bonus stamp set. The center of the flower uses a pool Party button and a piece of Bermuda Bay 1/8″ Stitched Ribbon which is only available through May 31st.
I hope I got your mojo going to use these fun summer colors and play along with the Pals Paper Arts this week.
Thanks for stopping by!
Michelle
I used washi tape on the inside of the card for a decorative edge.
Michelle, I love what you’ve done with the colors, Especially that big yellow flower. You’re right, it’s like a ray of sunshine. Great combination of old and new as well.
Greta job with that flowers ..really like all your details esp. the scribbles behind!
You’ve done such a lovely card mixing the old and the new, Michelle! This is a sweet sunshiny birthday card!! Hugs, Darnell
