This week’s Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge by Peggy Noe provided the perfect color palette for my sympathy card. Peggy’s design style is soft and feminine. I hope I did her proud with the challenge.
It may be hard to tell but I used Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder for the sentiment and there is Gold Metallic Thread behind the sentiment.
I used an Aqua Painter filled with 91% Isopropyl Alcohol and Pink Pirouette Inker* to create the watercolor background. *I take a couple of drops of the ink into a clear block and then squeeze a bit of the alcohol from my Aqua Painter to dilute the ink before starting to paint my watercolor paper.
The inside of the card was also embossed in Gold. The flower from Itty Bitty Punch Pack adds softness and charm. If you don’t have this punch pack it should be on your list to purchase before they are gone!
Thanks for stopping by and please jump over to the Pals Paper Arts to see what the other designers are doing with this beautiful color palette. We want to see your creative designs as well. Please join us in playing with the Pals Paper Arts this week.

The pink background really takes this pretty card to a whole new level of pretty!
Love the watercolor wash in the background. Thanks for the tip of using alcohol to in the Aqua Painter. I’ll have to try that.
Beautiful watercoloring in the background. Great use of these colors.
Such a lovely CAS card Michelle. I love the watercolor in the background and those pretty tiny flowers made a big difference.
Such a light and pretty sympathy card, right down to the inside sentiment. Beautiful Michelle.
Michelle, what a touching sympathy card. I will be pinning this for a time when I need one as well. Sweet details. Love the sentiment for the inside!!
Michelle, you did a beautiful job on this card ~ I love it!! As the others said, the pink watercolored background is so soft. I hadn’t thought to use the verse for an inside sentiment, but now I’m going to!
