Today at the Pals Paper Arts we have a color challenge by the very talented Peggy Noe. Peggy’s soft romantic style certainly influenced her color choice for us this week.
Participating in color and sketch challenges has taught me to push my creativity. I love the color green however I have struggled with the strong deep color of Emerald Envy. So this week’s color palette pushed me as I tried to do justice to this color combination.
In the end I used three stamp sets and two sets of thinlits to create my card.
I began with cutting out four leaf branches* using the Flourish Thinlits. Then I stamped on of the trees (focusing on only stamping the leaves portion of the tree) from the new Totally Trees Photopolymer stamp set. And then I selected the branch of leaves from Love & Affection Photopolymer Stamp Set to stamp in Emerald Envy.
I added Ruched Ribbon in Flirty Flamingo and the sentiment is from Rose Wonder stamp set using Rose Garden Thinlits to cut it out.
*The color palette calls for Flirty Flamingo and I accidentally used Watermelon Wonder for the Flourish leaf branches. The ribbon and ink used for the sentiment are both Flirty Flamingo. I think it coordinates beautifully.
I hope I inspired you to participate in the Pals Paper Arts challenge this week. Let’s go check out what the other design team members did with the challenge.

Here are the SU products used to create my project.
Love this Michelle! Part stamped and part die cut background! Just darling.

Great job incorporating the dies with the stamping for the background…I had to do a double take!
