I am in love with the yummy fall colors chosen by Michelle Quinno for this week’s Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge.
While a card filled with fall leaves would be stunning I wanted to stretch my creativity. I have heard some people say they don’t get the Moroccan Nights stamp set. I fell in love with the gorgeous medallion as soon as I saw it. And then last week Marissa Gunn of the SU Artisan Design team created this stunning card using the lanterns. I could not wait to try creating one of the lanterns myself.
The medallion was inked using sponge daubers starting with the lightest color on the inside and working out. The lantern was stamped with Versamark on vellum and embossed with the Copper Stampin’ Emboss powder. The powder melted to a smooth finish. ♥ Then I colored in the lantern with Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write Marker.
I created a banner that says Happy Birthday for the front to send to a special friend. This card could be used for almost any occasion so I left the sentiment off the card to share with you.
In the photo below I have highlighted some of the products used for the project. I hope I have changed your mind on this stamp set. I really think it has some wonderful artistic elements.
Don’t forget to check out what the other Pals Paper Arts design team members did with this color palette. Thanks for stopping by.

Awesome job with the Moroccan Medallion…love how your use all the colors on it! Fun card!
Michelle, this is spectacular! I am one who didn’t get the medallions right away. It’s on my list after seeing what you did with it. The medallion is so beautiful!
This was the perfect non-fall stamp set to use with this color combination. Beautifully showcased, Michelle!! Off to pin….
