My Father’s Day card was inspired by the Tic Tac Toe Challenge this week.
I chose the far right column Wood-Yellow-Embellishment for my inspiration. I started with a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Crumb Cake card stock and ran it through my Big Shot using the new Pinewood Plank Textured Embossing Folder. This folder provides deeper impressions. I spritz a few drops of water on the card stock before embossing it to loosen up the paper fibers and the result is fabulous.
Then I lightly tapped my Early Espresso ink pad on the embossed card stock to bring out the wood texture. So easy and I love the effect.
The Eastern Beauty Bundle made creating the handsome embellishment a cinch. Using three Eastern Medallions Thinlits I cut the designs. The bottom medallion was stamped with small flourishes in Crushed Curry ink. The top medallion has a sticker from the Eastern Gold Vinyl Sticker pack. A 1/2″ circle was punched out in Early Espresso card stock and then topped with a Crushed Curry Glitter Enamel Dot to add the finishing touch to the embellishment.
The inside of the card carries my father’s day sentiment from the retired Nailed It stamp set. I stamped the bottom corner with a medallion from Eastern Beauty stamp set to carry the design from the front of the card. The envelope was jazzed up with a piece of retired Moroccan DSP.
I hope you enjoy your Father’s Day.
Cheers,
Michelle
