As a woman who has two sons, a husband and works in a male dominated industry I need more masculine cards than most. It is always a challenge to come up with new cards that are creative and masculine oriented. So when I saw the new Hero Arts Sunburst Bold Prints Background Stamp I knew I had to have it. I saw so many possibilities including unique masculine cards.
This card is super simple yet has a bold impression. The base is Basic Grey card stock. The sunburst background was stamped in Basic Grey ink onto Smokey Slate card stock. This was mounted directly to the card base. The sentiment from SU Perennial Birthday stamp set was heat embossed with Simon Says Stamp Navy embossing powder onto Smokey Slate card stock. (NOTE: I did use my antistatic powder before stamping the sentiment yet you can still see stray pieces of embossing powder around the letters. I decided to go with the look for this masculine card as it went with the sunburst design. Sometimes you need to let go of perfection and just go with it.) A retired embellishment from SU Urban Underground Suite completed the card.
The sentiment on the inside of the card is from SU Picture Perfect stamp set.
I thought I would enter this in the CASE this Sketch challenge #260 this week. Here is the sketch:
I hope you have a great weekend and get some time to create.

I want to thank the Case this Sketch team for selecting my project as a team favorite.
Love this card! I, too, need more masculine cards and this one is great, especially since I have everything you used! Thanks for sharing.
Brenda, thank you for your kind comment. So glad you have everything you need for the card. I would love to see your result.
Super cool take on the sketch!
