Yesterday we had our first summer rainstorm marking the transition into summer. Although I did not create this post in time to play my card was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketch which was a slimline card. A truly clean and simple design.
The colors used are Basic White, Smoky Slate, Gumball Green (Retired), Shaded Spruce. The Shaded Spruce was blended around the edges of the Gumball Green and the area behind the daisy. ♥ the effect.

Here is a closer look at the Daisy. I stamped four images from SU Daisy Lane stamp set in Smoky Slate and punched them out. The medium daisies were glued together after slightly offsetting them and then mounted onto the large daisies also glued together offset with Stampin Dimensionals. The center was created using the medium daisy stamped in Daffodil Delight and then colored with the same Stampin’ Blends. It was also added to the daisies with dimensionals.
The leaves were created using Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set.

The sentiment was Hot Foiled onto Basic Black card stock with gold foil. The sentiment is from Spellbinders Everyday Sentiments II. I love the letterpress effect of the hot foil process.
Thanks for stopping by!
