Woo Hoo, it is Thursday and my last day of work for the long holiday weekend! My dad arrived yesterday evening and I am looking forward to spending some quality time with him this weekend.
Today’s card was inspired by the UBER talented Brian King. This is the color palette he selected for this week’s Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge. His quick wit and analytical mind yield a unique creative energy. He inspires me everyday on many levels.
I actually started with this card…
…however I felt it was missing something. The next morning I decided to create the card again and to add the matting to the panels.
I think it looks much more “finished”.
I used a lot of framelits to create this card and thought you might want the details.
I hope you have a fabulous holiday weekend with friends and family. May we never forget the privilege we have living in our great country.

Adorable card Michelle! Love how you used the star thinlits on this, super idea.
The matting really makes the dsp pop! Fantastic card, Michelle. I love the silver star accents.
Super card Michelle… Love all of the different polka dots!
The sweet patterns of paper are lovely together . . . but the shooting stars take me over the moon!
The matting really makes everything pop, Michelle! But the shooting star is the best ~ clever, clever!
Michelle, these panels are perfect! I love how each pattern has it’s own mat, but the sentiment layers over multiple panels and layers. Fabulous!
