A Simple Notecard

Last week the Pals Paper Arts team selected winners from those that participated in the 200th PPA challenge.  Then we randomly selected a winner of all the cards by the 20 design team members.  I wanted to get my card in the mail to the winner and wanted to include a small note card.

I absolutely love creating these small note cards and Stampin' Up! makes it super easy with matching  envelopes and the liner framelit.  Let's see the result …

Simple notecards

If you recall my card for the PPA Challenge was Midnight Muse (so sad it is retiring) so I wanted to keep with the theme and I used Midnight Muse Paper Stack DSP and used a stamp with the Fancy Flower Punch.  Clean and Simple yet packs a creative punch.

While the stamp I used is not longer available I would use the Five Way Flower (retiring) and included the supplies below from the current catty to build a similar layered flower.

I hope you have a fabulous Monday! We have a BIG event happening at my office on Wednesday so the pressure is on and I am anxious to get through to the other side of the event.  I know, I know be in the moment, I will get there.  When I throw a big event it is like throwing a big party until the event starts and there is nothing further I can do to make it better I will be tweaking and dotting more "i"'s.

Check back Wednesday for the final in my series on my crafting space.

Cheers,

Michelle

I Missed You

Last week was difficult with Typepad being up and down.  I was frustrated not getting to you regularly and in a timely manner.  In other words, I MISSED YOU!  And that thought inspired this card…

I hope you took advantage of the FREE shipping event with Stampin' Up! last week.  I know I did – I ordered twice!  I stocked up on things I use ALL the time; adhesives and paper.

This card includes a couple of retiring items – Eastern Elegance DSP and teh Backyard Basics stamp set and framelits.  Remember these items are only available while supplies last.  If you have been thinking about purchasing any of these items time and supplies are limited.

If you follow StampinMojo on Facebook then you know that StampinUp and Project Life have teamed up to bring the Project Life line to StampinUp and it will coordinate with all of StampinUp's other colors and accessories.  I am thrilled and as a demo we were able to pre-order a sneak peak last week.  It arrived last night and it is FAB.  I have used Project Life in the past and these products are everything we expect from StampinUp.  I will be creating something to show you this week so keep an eye out.

I hope you are having a great weekend.

Michelle

Stampin' Up! Supplies Used:

Thinking of You…

Unfortunately bad things happen to good people.  At those times the best thing you can do is reach out and let someone them know you care and there if they need you.  A handmade card is the perfect way to show you care.

This card was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest.  I used Watercolor Paper and stamped the sentiment and the flowers with Stazon Black Ink.  Then I used my Blender Pen to color the flowers.  The Simply Scored Scoring Tool helped create the lines for simple dimension and texture but not overpower the message.  I like the simplicity of this card.  The flower I used is from a retired stamp set called Reason to Smile.  I am still working on my watercoloring ability…

Remember tomorrow Stampin' Up!'s FREE shipping week comes to a close.  This is a great time to stock up on essentials and pick up bargains on the Clearance Rack.

Romantic Congratulations

04-22-2014

A young lady in my office became engaged last week.  I was not in the office to hear the news yet I know she was over the moon excited!  She is a very sweet young woman and I want to wish her all the best as she dreams and plans her wedding.

My Mojo came from a card I saw on Pinterest by Jo Dumbleton a demonstrator in New Zealand!

The base is from the Natural Composition DSP.  The paper is embossed with various prints and you can see it shines similar to clear embossing.  The banner is Pink Pirouette from the Sutles Designer Series Paper Stack and was created using the Banner Framelits.  The "label"is from a Sizzix die I have called Frame and Label, Bracket by Karen Burniston.  (I should have used the Windows Framelits Collection.)Then I embossed the oval from the SU Designer Frames.  The butterflies and Basic Pearl Jewels add the perfect romantic finish.

The butterflies and the embossed frame have a glimmer which I achieved through my ZIG Wink of Stella Brush.  I purchased this through Amazon and love the whisper of glimmer it provides.  You can see it here:

I love creating cards to help people celebrate these major moments in their lives.
