Sending Big Hugs

StampinMojo Michelle Gleeson Thinking of You card idea

My brother just texted a photo of their home buried in snow with the caption “No Golf Today”. Here in Southwest Florida we are hitting 80° this afternoon. I ran out this morning and capture photos of a card I made last night to share with you.

My uncle is undergoing treatment for esophagus/stomach cancer. I want him to know he is in our thoughts and prayers so I created this card for him.

The DSP is from SU Coffee Break. The flowers and leaves are from Ellen Hutson’s – Essentials by Ellen stamp set and dies for breast cancer research. I used SU colors; Lemon Lime Twist, Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive for the greenery and  Soft Sky and Lost Lagoon (retired) for the flowers.

The sentiment is from Avery Elle Get Well stamp set.

I thought the color palette was soothing. I hope it brings a smile to his face.

Thanks for stopping by.

Petal Palette Memories and More in Pink

Stampin Up Petal Palette Memoeris and More Stampin' Blends Anytime Card Michelle Gleeson Stampinup SU

One last post using the Petal Palette Memories and More card pack. I still have a stack of cards to use for memory keeping. This card uses one of the stickers included in the pack. The stickers are heavy weight paper with sticker adhesive on the back. I colored the sticker with Stampin’ Blends. The sentiment is also from the card pack.

This sweet card was super quick and easy. Using the SU Note Cards and Envelopes as the card base, I used my Stampin’ Blends on this 3×4 card and ran it through my Big Shot with a Spellbinders die to create the border. Then I mounted it on a piece of Basic Black. I stamped the sentiment and then added it to the card base. I used Stickes to add sparkle to the center of the flower.

These flowers are also stickers that were colored, covered with Wink of Stella then mounted on a 4×6 card that was cut down. Then the sentiment was stamped with Memento Jet Black ink. The 1/4″ Organza Ribbon was colored with a Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Write Marker and added with Mini Glue Dot.

I love this card. Again I used my Stampin’ Blends to color the birds then added some retired Crisp Cantaloupe Thick Baker’s Twine. The card was mounted with Stampin’ Dimensionals onto Wood Textures DSP that was added to a Note Card. The sentiment was cut using the Bunch of Banners Framelits. A bit of Nuvo Summer drops was added to the heart for shimmer and texture.

And my final note card includes a 3×4 Memories and More card colored with Stampin’ Blends and cut down to mount on Powder Pink card stock. A single rhinestone was added to  the center of the large flower.

Whew, thanks for hanging in there through all these cards.

Petal Palette Parade

Stampin Up Petal Passion Memories and More Friendship Card Idea Michelle Gleeson Stampinup SU

Yesterday I said I would share more projects using the Petal Passion Memories & More cards. I love Lemon Lime Twist and it is a stunning background for the sharp black and white 3×4 cards. This will be easily mailed as the cards are simply glued onto the A2 card front. The sentiment is from the Waterfront Photopolymer Stamp Set. I added a few Green Apple Nuvo Crystal Drops.

This was inspired from the catalog, it is a 3×3 gift card. The base is Old Olive and then I added a 3×4 Memories and More card that I had watercolored and cut down to 2 7/8x 2 7/8. Then I stamped the roses from Petal Palette Bundle and colored them with my Stampin’ Blends. They were cropped with the coordinating die and mounted with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A few Crystal Effect drops on the leaves as dew drops.

This last card was CASE’d from Sandi MacIver. I love the Lemon Lime Twist and Bermuda Bay together.

I hope I gave you more inspiration to enjoy the Petal Passion Suite.

Beautiful Bouquet Meets Petal Passion

Stampin Up Petal Passion DSP Beautfiul Bouquet Bundle Anytime card idea Michelle Gleeson Stampinup SU

Happy Saturday!

I have been having fun creating with the Stampin’ Up! Petal Passion Memories and More Card Pack. A great value for creating cards and scrapbooking, for only $10. Over the next week I will show you several cards I created with the card pack and I still have a lot of cards left!

Today’s card using Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes as the base. I embossed the front of the card with the Petal Pair Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. These border embossing folders are easily missed in the Occasions Catty (page 23) and add an elegant touch and texture to the card.

Then I took one of the 3×4 Petal Passion Memories and More cards and sliced a 1/4″ off and flipped it over and adhered to the card to create the black edge on the focal point. A piece of 1/4″ White Organza Ribbon colored with my Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Blend was wrapped around the card. The card was mounted on Stampin’ Dimensionals and added to the card front.

The Hydrangea was created with the Beautiful Bouquet Bundle. Each flower was finished with Nuvo White Blizzard drops. The bouquet was tied with baker’s twine from a past Paper Pumpkin.

I hope you will come back tomorrow for more!
