Where Creativity Meets C9 for the stamp set

This was my first Concord & 9th (C9) stamp set. I purchased the set at the Create event last March where I was fortunate enough to meet Angie one of the owners/founders of C9. She was fun and so humble. I love the creativity in their stamp sets.

The GDP color combination provided a fresh color palette. The coordinating “hugs” die has two parts. The skinny font version was added to the shadow version and highlighted with Wink of Stella. Can you see the shimmer? It is so hard to capture the shimmer.

Heartfelt Blooms for Love

Stampin Up Heartfelt Blooms Waterfront Petal Passion DSP Love card ideas Michelle Gleeson Stampinup SU

Lemon Lime Twist takes center stage in this project. The Heartfelt Blooms stamp, which is FREE during Sale-A-ration when you spend $50 in SU products, was stamped in Lemon Lime Twist ink on Lemon Lime Twist card stock.

A 3/4″ piece of Petal Passion DSP and flagged on one end was jazzed up with a piece of 1/4″ Ombre Lemon Lime Twist Ribbon. (I just ran a strip of Fast Fuse along the DSP and then folded the ribbon over on itself and over the fast fuse.)

The sentiment stamped in Memento Black Ink is from the Waterfront Photopolymer Stamp Set and was cropped with the Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies.

The entire panel was mounted with SU Foam Adhesive Strips. A few Nuvo drops in Bottle Green coordinates nicely. A quick and easy card with a Wow factor.

Petal Passion Masculine Birthday Card

The title sounds like an oxymoron doesn’t it? Well check this out…

Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper usually has two sides; one is a bold or dramatic print and the other a small or geometric accent print. I typically chose these prints for my cards.

The sentiment is from My Favorite Things (MFT) All About You. It has three coordinating dies of the word YOU in different fonts. It is a very versatile set.

The metal embellishment were Retired Urban Underground Embellishments from the 2017 SU Occasions catalog. I loved that masculine suite.

The Happy Birthday To was heat embossed with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder. The YOU was cut out of Basic Black card stock with Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets attached so the die cut is like a sticker when you add it to your card. I use this for all my dies cuts now.

The inside was adorned with another 3/4″ strip of DSP framed with a 1″ piece of Basic Black card stock. I love to bring the front of the card to the inside as well. The sentiment is from the Picture Perfect Photopolymer Stamp set. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this font.

I know masculine cards are a bit tougher for many. Remember to look at the backside of your DSP and you might just find the inspiration for your masculine card.

Fresh Fig and Lemon Lime Twist produce the WOW factor for this card. The Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper from the annual catalog is the inspiration.

The sentiment is from the NEW Perennial Birthday stamp set. The flowers that surround the sentiment were created using a framelit die from Bouquet Bunch Framelits and the leaves from the Perennial Birthday stamp set. I think the flowers look just like those in the DSP. Basic Rhinestone Jewels adorn each flower for sparkle.
