Birthday Giggle Greeting

08-14-2013
Today my inspiration came from SUO Challenge #77 which is to create a Birthday card using only Stampin' Up Products. I wanted to do something different and chose the Giggle Greetings Stamp Set for a little fun and whimsy.   Each of the greetings has its own unique way of making someone smile.

Giggle GreetingsAs a sharp contrast to the silliness of the greeting I wanted the card to be sophisticated.  So I chose Basic Black card stock as my base a standard A2 card [ 41/4' x 5 1/2"].  Then I used a 5"  x  3 3/4" piece of Stampin' Up Watercolor paper to stamp my giggle greeting sentiment using StazOn Black Ink.  Once the ink was dry I colored it with my Smoky Slate and Pink Pirouette Stampin' Write markers and went over it with my Aqua Painter to smooth out the coloring.

Then I cut a piece of Eastern Elegance DSP 5" x  3 3/4" and using my square framelits created the perfect frame for my greeting.  The DSP was mounted to the Watercolor paper using Stampin Dimensionals to create a true frame look.

To add one more bit of sophistication I added the black taffeta ribbon which is edged in silver.  I also added "Birthday Wishes" greeting on the inside from For You stamp set using Crushed Curry ink.

My final step is always decorating the envelope in some way.  With the new Envelope Liner Framelits lining my envelopes is super easy and the perfect finishing touch.

Even if someone doesn't  want to celebrate another birthday I think this card would be fun to receive.  What do you think?  Would this card make YOU giggle and smile?

If you want to purchase any of the items used in creating this card you can shop at Stampin'Mojo Online Store 24/7.  If I can answer any questions please let me know.

Cheers!
