Flower Shop and Pals Paper Arts challenge

The Pals Paper Arts Challenge closes in a couple of hours yet I wanted to squeak in with my spin on the color challenge.  I don't especially like pastels.  It probably is the result of living through the eighties where everything was peach colored!  However I do love Coastal Cabana and wanted to give this challenge a shot.

I created this card to send to my goddaughter to wish her luck as they start back to school in a couple of weeks.  It is a very frilly card with the crisp cantalope ribbon, Pretty Print textured embossing folder, and the Flower Shop stamp set flowers with Basic Rhinestone Jewels  and Dazzling Diamonds to bring out the center of the flowers.  There was so much going on I did not add a sentiment to the front.  Rather this is simply a pretty note card that can be used for any occasion.

While I did not convert to loving pastels, I am pleased with the result.  I hope my goddaughter enjoys receiveing it as well.

Come back tomorrow for the Pals monhtly Blog Hop.  This month we will be featuring projects from the Holiday mini catalog.

  1. It’s lovely and I’m sure your goddaughter is going to love it! I had to laugh about the ’80’s I still cringe at light blue and mauve = ) Thanks for playing with us this week at Pals Paper Arts!

  2. Very pretty card, Michelle. Frilly and fun, and I’m sure your granddaughter will love it. Thanks for joining us at the Pals Paper Arts!

  3. Love the way you used the ribbon, Michelle! And the flower centers are perfect! We appreciate you joining us at Pals Paper Arts!
