Celebrating my brother’s 50th Birthday

Last night I attended a 50th Birthday celebration for my brother.  It was a small intimate event at a local Italian restaurant in a Chicago suburb. The guest list was comprised of close friends, true A list friends to share this milestone birthday. It was a wonderful evening of story telling and many laughs.

I wanted to create a card that would be funny and needle him a little.  A card I had previously seen on Pinterest provided the inspiration.

I think this is a fun card.  Here is a small peak on the inside:

I used a mixture of technology and traditional card making.  I used Microsoft Word to create the sentiment on the front of the card and then printed it on Very Vanilla cardstock.  The DSP is not Stampin' Up but the bottom is More Mustard card stock.  The finishing touch is Stampin' Up! Linen Thread and Naturals Designer Buttons.

The inside sentiment is from the Delightful Dozen Stamp Set.

Well today I travel home from Chicago,  I was able to squeeze in lunch with my best friend, attend a productive and informative conference, and celebrate my brother's 50th birthday while in this great city.  I would say it was a successful trip and I am ready to get home to my family.

Enjoy you day!
