It's time for another Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge! I really like the colors is this week's challenge:
Where did my Mojo come from?
Well some of it came from the fact that I had limited Rich Razzleberry card stock so I knew I needed to use Rich Razzleberry ink as my main resource to meet the color challenge. So as the saying goes "Necessity is the mother of invention".
I grabbed the Wonderfall stamp set and the Autumn Accents Die and made the leaf using Rich Razzleberry. The Crumb Cake seam binding ribbon adds the missing color to my card.
Now to put the elements together… The Stampin' Up1 Stripes Embossing Folder added much needed dimension to the Whipser White card stock, yet I only applied it to the bottom section of the card stock. Rich Razzleberry was used to create the sentiment from the Happy Day stamp set for the top of the card. A Crushed Curry candy dot was the finishing touch.
Here was another version I did…
I think the Whisper White base provides a crisper look. Which one do you prefer? Leave me a comment to let me know!
Thanks for stopping by today. Cheers,
Michelle
The Whisper White is definitely crisper but there’s something about the Crumb Cake that I really like. Both cards are great! I am inspired by your thinking when faced with limited resources.
Love them both but the white is my favorite!
SUPER love this card and you’re right, the white really makes everything pop! Great job!
Michelle, both cards are great and I can’t pick a favorite. I love your description of setting out to work on the color challenge, assessing what you’ve got on hand compared with the what is required in the challenge. I think some of the most beautiful designs come from limited supplies, as you have beautifully demonstrated here. Thanks for joining us at PPA this week.
Both cards are gorgeous but I like the Whisper White one better. It’s just so… POP! The Crumb Cake ribbon adds the perfect touch!
Beautiful cards, Michelle! Both of them are clean and simple perfection! The white one is absolutely stunning. Thanks for joining the Pals at Pals Paper Arts!
Beautiful card!
I love the crisp look of the white, but I also love that curry ribbon. I’d have to make BOTH! Very pretty!
love your use of “white space”.
congrats on being a ppa pick!
