Project Life for Global Design Project

StampinMojo, GDP035, Project Life, Moments Like This

On Mother’s Day I lost myself in my craft room and worked on some memory keeping. In February my best friend of 40 years (can that really be true – Yikes!) came down for a visit. It was the first time we got to spend a week alone together in over thirty years. It was so good for both of us. Memory keeping allows me to re-live and cherish each moment shared all over again.

GDP 035I was thrilled when I saw the Global Design Team’s theme this week was Project Life. Here are some close up shots of my layout.

The bottom left corner shows Kathy stamping Bridal Shower invitations that we designed for her niece. I loved sharing my love of stamping with her!

We enjoyed champagne while watching the sunset and walked the beach early one morning to watch the sunrise. I will cherish the time we had together for months to come. Now I have my favorite photos captured to enjoy whenever I want.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope I inspired you to document some favorite memories. Thanks Global Design Team for featuring Project Life this week.

  1. Awww, Michelle, this layout is awesome. What a lovely way to preserve precious memories of this special visit. The mat cards perfectly reflect the colours in your sunset photo! Thanks for helping us showcase Project Life at Global Design Project this week.

    • Thank you Paula for the kind comment. I typically choose colors for my memory pages that coordinate with the photos. Sometimes I pick up colors from the landscape and sometimes it is from the subjects of the photos. It seems to make the layouts visually appealing.

  2. Awwwesome! Such a perfekt layout. Find your color choice particularly good, because they bring your photos to their best advantage.
Thanks for playing with this week

    • Tanja, thank you for the kind comment. I love using the subject(s) of the photos as my color palette. I think it makes the page visually appealing.

  3. Such great memories, Michelle, and a great way to document them. Sounds like y’all had fun. This is a great layout with lots of great elements. Did you print the white sentiment right onto your picture? Thanks so much for playing along with this week’s Global Design Project theme challenge – glad you did.

    • Brian, I did print right onto the photos using photoshop brushes. These particular brushes are from Ali Edwards. I love her font styles and she has great sentiments to chose from. It really adds to capturing the memories.
