Butterfly Brillance Bundle

A quick post to say I am still here but not getting much crafty time these days. It has been a whirlwind since we sold our home last September.

A quick catch up…Last month we purchased a home that was under construction and have been making design selections to ensure it is completed by the time we need to be out of our rental. In the meantime my dad who is 86 decided to move from Arizona back to Florida to live near us. He sold his house in less than a week and needs to be out in a month. So we found him a rental and he is now building a home in the same neighborhood as us. Yes that means more design selections. So I guess I am getting to use my creative juices just not in paper crafting!

We have also had a series of guests since the first of the year. We have thoroughly enjoyed having everyone and they have enjoyed escaping the Chicago cold.

All this while working full time. And that is why I have been absent. So onto this quick card…

The Butterfly Brilliance Suite from the upcoming Stampin’ UP! Annual Catalog is really fun and easy to create a quick and simple design. The coordinating DSP aligns perfectly with the die to cut out these stunning butterflies.

I created this card as a thank you to the pool designer we worked with for our home. She was really terrific; responsive, patient and knowledgeable.

The card base is Pool Party and the banner is Night of Navy. The ink blending is Seaside Spray.

A bit of Wink of Stella was added to the butterfly to create the beautiful shimmer.  The butterfly was mounted on Stampin Dimensionals onto vellum die cut using the Stitched So Sweetly dies. A few confetti sequins provide the finishing touch.

Thanks for stopping by! Stay well.

  1. To say you’ve been busy lately is definitely an understatement! Sounds like a very exciting time, though. This is a very pretty card. A Pool Party card is so appropriate for a Pool Designer.

  2. Lovely card Michelle. The Pool Party card base is the perfect choice for your pool designer 🙂
