A colleague’s wife is now part of a co-op of artists in our community. She had her grand opening this week so I created a card to send her. My inspiration came from the Freshly Made Sketch this week.

The circles were created using a collection of items; Concord & 9th Geometrics Stamp, Stampin’ Up! Broadway Birthday and an eraser head! I am tickled with the result.

The sentiment was created using three Poppy Parade die cuts of the Simon Says Stamp Painted Congrats Die. The SU Adhesive Sheets added to the card stock before die cutting make stacking intricate dies a cinch. A few gems provide the finishing touch.

I carried the circles to the inside of the card as well. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp We Can Do This.

SSS Sketched Flowers Birthday Card Idea Michelle Gleeson 30 day Marker

I have been experimenting with using Copic Markers; a recent addition to my craft room after spending time with some crafty friends who are a terribly wonderful influence on me. This stamp set from Simon Says Stamp was the perfect set to use several of my copic color palettes.

And I thought it was great for this week’s Global Design Project theme and a dear friend’s birthday!

The Love You to Pieces Bundle is from the Annual Catalog and will remain in my stash long after it is retired. I love puzzles and the sentiment Love you to pieces.

There is very little stamping but my Big Shot got a workout!  It was fun putting the pieces together to create the rainbow stripes.

As I write this post the Midwest and Northeast are getting hit with snow which will be followed by a deep freeze. We have had a chilly rainy weekend ourselves. On Friday we had three pallets of mulch delivered, we only got one pallet spread yesterday before the rains started.

So…I have enjoyed catching up on some memory keeping. ((Thank you rain.) Before leaving my craft room today I made this card for the Global DesignProject Color Challenge #173. I love this soft color combination.

My card was inspired by a Jackie Aitken, an Australian demonstrator, card.

I used the All About You stamp set and Rectangle Stitched Framelits for my card. My Scan N Cut made cutting all the flowers and leaves a breeze.

Using my blender pen I added a little bit of coordinating color on each of the flowers followed by little Wink of Stella. That tiny bit of sparkle is very pretty.
