Do you Believe?

This week Pals Paper Arts features a color challenge.

Pals Paper Arts #278

This color combination made me think of elves and santa’s suit. So I decided to think about what Santa will leave under our Christmas Tree.

StampinMojo, Your Presents, PPA278, Lighthearted Leaves, Holly Jolly Greetings

I used the fun and very versatile Your Presents stamp set. The plaid present was created by stamping the striped stamp in one direction and then rotating it 90°. Then I simply cut out a square using my Stampin’ Trimmer.

Like all presents they become beautiful by adding the bows. The first present I used the 1/8″ Real Red Striped Ribbon. The next present uses the bow from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits and the final bow is from the Balloon Framelits.

The two bead embellishments came from this month’s Paper Pumpkin you can see that post here.

One of my favorite holiday books is Polar Express. So it seemed perfect to add the Believe sentiment from the Lighthearted Leaves  stamp set to go with my presents. Can you still hear the bell?

The little dangling stars were stamped from the Holly Jolly Greetings set and then I punched out stars from the Stars Border Punch and adhered with the Fine Tip Glue Pen.

The inside greeting is from the Embellished Ornaments stamp set.

Tomorrow evening we have our first holiday party it all seems surreal. How did it all come upon us so fast?

Thanks for stopping by. Remember Stampin’ Up! products make great gifts for the crafter(s) in your life.

Warm Winter Wishes for PPA 277

I wanted create a card for this weeks Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge. I had a vision for this card but it did not turn out. I left everything on my craft table and went back to it several days later.

I love the simplicity of this card.

Pals Paper Arts #277

Crumb Cake Note Cards and Envelopes gave me a quick start. Then I added a piece of Crumb Cake embossed with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I was happy to see this item will carryover to the Occasions catty!

A piece of 5/8″ Striped Cotton Ribbon was wrapped around the embossed crumb cake card stock. This is popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.

StampinMojo, Close up Warm Winter Wishes, PPA 277

The evergreen branch and sentiment are from the Winter Wishes stamp set. I added tiny dabs of red Stickles for berries in the evergreen branch. I duplicated that on the envelope as well. Some fun for the postman.

I am heading back to work today. There is much to accomplish before the end of the year at work as well as home. Yikes I better get moving!

Build a Banner

The weekend went by so quickly. Today we will send our two sons back to their respective universities and final exams prior to returning for Christmas Break.

I wanted to share a banner I made to welcome them home this past week.

Banner Kit, StampinMojo,

I used sponge daubers to add Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake and Cajun Craze ink with the stencils that come with the Banner Kit. Using my Circle Collection framelits I cut out the gold circles. Then using my old Slice cutting machine I cut out the letters in Basic Black card stock.

It brought a big smile from both sons when they saw it upon entering the house. This made me smile as well.

The Build a Banner Kit is 40% off by shopping the Online Extravaganza through tomorrow November 30th. Click here to begin shopping now!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Last night/early this morning we picked up our youngest son from the airport. Now our holiday celebration can truly begin. We have our two sons, my brother, and my dad here to celebrate.

I am grateful to my brother for taking the time to accompany my dad here for the weekend. And is wife, Vickie, and their two kids for their understanding of not having their husband and dad around for the holiday.

StampinMojo, So Grateful

And finally I am so grateful to share my love of crafting with each of you. The men and women I have met in this journey have all enriched my life. When I purchased my starter kit three years ago I never dreamed I would write a blog and meet so many wonderful people.

The Online Extravaganza continues. If there is anything on your wishlist be sure to check out the amazing savings here.

Enjoy your day and weekend with your family.
