This card was created with a mix of old and new products. As a demonstrator we should typically only use current product. Yet as crafters we often have left over DSP and scraps that are meaningful and just the right answer for a card we envision.
So let’s get to the details…
My card is 5 x 5 and the base is Crumb Cake cardstock. Next I used a piece of Marina Mist cardstock that I had embossed at some point and not never used. The DSP is from the retired Print Poetry Paper Stack from last Spring. These two design elements are brought together with 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon in Summer Starfruit.
The sentiment and the cute bunny are from the Baby You’ve Grown Stamp Set in the current Occasions Catalog. The sentiment is stamped in Midnight Muse and the entire focal point is framed in Midnight Muse using an Apothecary Accents Framelit. The crumb cake candy dots finish the card perfectly.
Since I made an oversized card I needed to create a custom envelope using the Envelope Punch Board. Then I lined it with the last of the matching DSP.
Perhaps you have scraps and card elements that never made it into a card or scrapbook page. What have you made with your scraps? I would love to hear.
