I love the options available in this week’s Tic Tac Toe Challenge grid.
I chose the bottom row – Leaf, Free, Splatter. I decided to use the leaf pattern from the upcoming Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper, available September 1st as the background to my card. I splattered Gold Wink of Stella (retired but available at big box stores) all over the base of the card.
Then I brought in Fresh Fig to coordinate with the Old Olive leaves. I created a 2″ x 5 1/4″ panel of Fresh Fig and layered a piece of Color Theory DSP 1 3/4″ x 5 1/4″.Then I wrapped 1/8″ Fresh Fig Sheer Ribbon around the panel and drew it together with another piece of ribbon and tied a bow.
The panel was mounted to the base of the card with Stampin’ Dimentionals. The flowers from the Background Bits stamp set were stamped using Stampin’Write Markers onto Whisper White card stock. The stamped image and Old Olive card stock were cropped using the Layered Circle Framelits the glued onto a Fresh Fig circle cut from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. This was then mounted with dimensionals to the panel on the card.
The happy birthday sentiment stamped in Basic Black Archival ink is from Big on Birthdays and was cropped using a non-SU banner framelit then glued onto the circle.
Since I had no idea where I was going with this when I started I am very happy with the result. Sometimes you just need to start creating…
I hope I inspired you to play along with the Tic Tac Toe challenge as well.
