If you are like me the weekends fly by seeming like it is Monday morning in the blink of an eye. I am an early riser and the first thing I do is grab my cup of coffee. This is a cherished bit of quiet before my day begins.
The background for today’s card is SU Coffee Break Designer Series Paper, isn’t fun? The stamp set is from Sugar Pea Designs and it’s called Coffee Addict. I got to meet the owner and creator of Sugar Pea Designs in April which makes using her stamps even more fun and rewarding. After stamping the coffee cup and steam in Early Espresso onto Soft Sky card stock I used my Paper Snips to cut it out. I used a Blender Pen to add a bit of dimension to the cup and used my Watercolor Pencils (Early Espresso and Black) for the coffee in the cup. The steaming cup of coffee was then mounted to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The inside has the perfect sentiment from Sugar Pea Designs stamp set called The Perfect Blend.
The Urban Dictionary defines Adulting (v): to do grown up things and hold responsibilities such as, a 9-5 job, a mortgage/rent, a car payment, or anything else that makes one think of grown ups. I never knew we needed a term for this. I thought it was just growing up and never thought of it in a negative manner. I do chuckle at this because it is hard sometimes!
Of course I added more Coffee Break DSP to the envelope flat to coordinate with the card.
