Today I am sharing a card created for my sister-in-law. I feel very fortunate to have a sister-in-law I call my friend as well as my family.
Her birthday always makes me chuckle as she LOVES to celebrate it for as long as she can. Sometimes it is a week and sometimes it is the entire month of July!
This year her birthday is taking the backseat to moving their oldest to Minneapolis where he is taking on a new job. We are all very excited for this new chapter in his life. Of course it is never easy having a loved one move farther away so it is bittersweet for my sister-in-law.
Let’s get to the project…
This card was CASE’d from Teneale Williams. I loved the layout and simple elements used in her project.
I used a sheet Perennial Essence DSP. I stamped, colored (with Stampin’ Blends) and cut out the magnolia buds from the Good Morning Magnolia Bundle. The sentiment from Stitched All Around was heat embossed in White Embossing Powder. Then I sponged on White Craft ink to soften the Crumb Cake card stock. I used Retired SU Project Life framelits to cut out the sentiment.
The scallop edging was created from the SU Be Mine Framelits. A bit of Linen Thread and Basic Adhesive Backed Sequins provide the finishing touches.
And the inside of the card was also stepped up. This sentiment is from SU Beautiful Bouquet. The font used in this set is so pretty and I love the sentiments.
I hope you are having a great week. Thanks for stopping by!
Cheers, Michelle
