August Paper Pumpkin Projects

If you are a regular blog reader then you know I began subscribing to Paper Pumpkin ijust a few months ago during one of the special promotions.  I totally underestimated the fun and excitement I would feel when I open the mailbox to find that wonderful orange box filled with a new project.  Pure Joy!

This month's project is filled with great elements; stamps, sequins, heavy weight DSP card stock, pre-cut sentiments, banner flags, ink and fun envelopes.  The card stock if cut in half will allow you to double the number of cards.  Let's see what I made with a couple of the elements of my Paper Pumpkin this month.

Paper Pumpkin kit

The white card stock with the negative cut out sentiment and the Hello Honey Yellow envelope is part of this month's Paper Pumpkin kit.  I used a piece of Confetti Celebration DSP to put behind the sentiment and then punched out arrows from the What's Up punch to coordinate and add interest to the envelope.  A super fun card to send to our oldest who headed back to school today.  It is hard to believe he is already a junior!

Here are a couple of cards I made from my Paper Pumpkin kit for two colleagues that just passed a professional exam.

More Paper pumpkin

How cute are those!  Super cute and super easy.  The sentiment is from the Photopolymer stamp set called Bravo! one of my new favorite sets.

So perhaps you are like me and thought you could do without Paper Pumpkin.  Well, think again and especially right now when you can join and get the first two months at 50% off!

An Appropriate Send Off

This week we will celebrate being in our house for eight years.  It seems to have gone by so amazingly fast.  About six months after we moved in another family moved in with a son the same age as our youngest.  Now these two young men are heading off to college.  Josh leaves this week while Pierce does not leave until next month.  I wanted to send him off with an appropriate card and gift.

An Appropriate Send Off

The card was created using the school colors for the university Josh will be attending – (Garden) Green and Gold.  And the layout inspiration came from the Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge #216 this week!  Check it out.

PPA216

I am quite pleased with the result.  The gold paper is difficult to photograph here is another angle.

Send off flat

We got him a couple of gift cards for local eateries for when he wants to escape the dining hall experience.  I know our oldest always appreciates gift cards.  Using the envelope punch board I made an envelope to house the gift cards.

Inside

The sentiment inside the card is from the retired stamp set Word Play that is available in MDS digital format.

I hope I inspired you to paly along with the Pals this week.  Thanks for stopping by!

Another holiday catty sneak peek

Just a quick post today to show you the new Snowflake Card Thinlit Die available beginning August 28th!

Snowflake flat

The two snowflakes cut out of Silver Glimmer paper are from the Snowflake Die set as well.  There are 9 dies in total included with the framelit.  I cut the card out of Soft Sky card stock resulting in a soft beautiful card (it is much prettier in person).

Snowflake

The sentiment and the stamped snowflake are from the Endless Wishes Photopolymer stamp set.  This stamp set sold out so fast last holiday season they have brought it back!  Yes, if you missed getting this great stamp set last season you have another chance.

I hope this sneak peek is getting you excited for the new holiday catalog.  If you don't have a demonstrator I would love to be yours!  Just send me an email and I will get a catalog to you.

Here is a link to the new Weekly Deals!

Don't forget to stop by on Thursday for a new Pals Paper Arts Challenge.

Saturday Sneak Peek

Today I have a sneak peek of items from the upcoming Holiday Catalog available August 28th.  I thought I wanted a lot of items from the Annual Catalog, well the Holiday Catalog was almost as bad.  The Holiday Catalog is filled with lots of bundles (stamps with coordinating framelits or punches) that can be used far beyond the upcoming holiday season.

Sneak peek journal

If you follow my blog you already know I love paper and journals.  The pocket journals from the Annual Catalog are great gifts.  Here I stamped the journal with For All Things (available Aug 28th).  The dots are from the Kinda Electic stamp set.

Oprah Winfrey states, "Be thankful for what you ave and you'll end up having more.  If you concentrate on what you don't have you will never have enough."  I love this and am making a concerted effort to be more grateful for the many people, things and opportunities in my life.  I think this journal will be the perfect reminder to capture all my blessings.

Hello card

I adore this clean and simple Fall card.  It is completely CASE'd from the Stampin' Up demonstrators magazine called Stampin' Success.  This card also uses the For All Things stamp set and the new Color Me Autumn Designer Washi Tape and Gold Metal Buttons.  This entire collection is fabulous.

Check out the matching envelope…

Hello flat

While the weather remains hot and muggy here in Florida I am dreaming of cooler weather and the beauty of fall leaves.  Fall is absolutely my favorite time of year.  Is it the promise the start of a new school year always brought as a young girl?  The fact that I fell in love with my husband in the fall?  Or the beauty that surrounds us as nature puts on its display of color?

I hope you enjoyed these sneak peeks.  Are you like me and love Fall?  I would love to hear why you enjoy it?
