Handwritten Happiness Birthday Wishes

Stampin Up Painted Autumn DSP Daisy Delight MFT Handwritten Happiness Birthday card ideas Michelle Gleeson Stampinup SU

My card today features current favorites and soon to be favorites. I have been showcasing the new Painted Autumn DSP this week. Do you agree that this will be a favorite item in the new holiday catalog?

I paired it up with a current favorite Daisy Delight stamp set and the coordinating Daisy Punch. So easy to create and looks fabulous every time! I mounted the daisy to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added coppery Stickles as the center of my daisy. You could use SU Copper Emboss Powder as well for a fun finish to the daisy.

I snuck three springs of greenery under the daisy. The greenery was crated with the new Leaf Punch available in the holiday catalog. I punched the leaves out in Lemon Lime Twist and using a Sponge Dauber inked them with Garden green to mimic the leaves in the DSP.

Another current favorite Copper Ribbon was wrapped around the bottom of the focal point twice.

Next I stamped and heat embossed the birthday wishes sentiment in Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things Handwritten Happiness. After heat embossing it, I cut it out with my Paper Snips and mounted it to the card with dimensionals.

I have been having a difficult time getting my creative mojo going. The new Painted Autumn DSP really jump started my creativity. I hope it has inspired you as well.

Painted Autumn Birthday Greetings

Today I am showcasing another design from the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper. This is one of two designs with a larger print. I did not find it too overpowering for my sentiment.

The base of my card is Crushed Curry (4 1/4″ x 5 1/5″) and then I mounted the DSP (3″ x 41/4″) onto a piece of Early Espresso card stock 93 1/4″ x 4 1/2″). I think it anchors the larger print beautifully.

The sentiment was created by cutting out two “happy”‘s with a non-SU framelit in Very Vanilla card stock. I glued them together and pressed the word into my Versamark ink pad and then sprinkled with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I heat set it and then repeated the the process two more times to get a smooth and rich finish on the word. The word “birthday” was also heat embossed in gold onto Early Espresso card stock. The image is from Avery Elle Handwritten Notes. I used my exacto knife and a straight edge ruler to cut out the word.

I added a few Key Lime Nuvo Jewel drops for texture and shine.

The inside of the card was stamped using the new Painted Harvest Photopolymer stamp set. GORGEOUS set to work with. Again I used Crushed Curry and Early Espresso.

Hello Fall!

Stampin Up Painted Autumn DSP Merry Cafe Coffee Cups Framelits Thinking of You Michelle Gleeson Stampinup SU

Here in Southwest Florida we are truly in the dog days of summer. This is when the heat is the most oppressive and we all look forward to cooler days ahead. So when my pre-order items arrived on Friday with new items from SU Holiday catalog I knew I had to play with them.

I predict the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper will be a huge hit from the holiday catalog. It has smaller prints that are easy to work with.

I always love when Stampin’ Up! gives us additional products to work with products we already have and they did just that with the new Merry Cafe stamp set to coordinate with the Coffee Cafe Framelits. For all those Pumpkin Spice fans this stamp set is for you. i stamped the sentiment onto Kraft card stock in Tangerine Tango, sprinkled it wth clear embossing powder and heat set it for a bit of shine and texture. ♥

A bit of linen thread provides the finishing touch and adds to the rustic fall feel of the card.

So Many Shells For You

Before I get to my card I want to thank the design team over at Freshly Made Sketches for naming me the Queen of Clean last week for my card Time To Celebrate. If you missed it you can see it here. This card was created for my best friend in Chicago. Last week I flew to Chicago to surprise her and hand deliver her card. It was so much fun. #noregrets

Let’s get to the card. It has a masculine lean with the Dapper Denim crackle designs from the Color Theory DSP stack. The shells are from the So Many Shells Photopolymer Stamp Set. This set has wonderful sentiments as well as beautiful shells. The shells are created using a two-step stamping. The top shell was stamped in Crumb Cake and Blushing Bride and the bottom shell Sahara Sand and Crumb Cake. The For You sentiment is from the same set.

I love the font in this set. Here is another card I created using one of the sentiments from this set.

This card makes me think about sitting with gal pals on the beach and chatting the day away. This card uses Crushed Curry, Lemon Lime Twist, and Tempting Turquoise with Dapper Denim and Soft Suede.

I hope I inspired you today with the So Many Shells stamp set.

Cheers,

Michelle
