Stampin Up Foil Frenzy You Move Me Flourish Thinlits Michelle Gleeson Stampinup SU

My card was inspired by the Global Design Project Challenge 096 and Michelle Last’s design. I am not entering the challenge rather using as inspiration.

I created three versions of this card using three of the four  colors in the Foil Frenzy DSP. As you have seen I am loving this paper. I think it adds a bit of bling without being overwhelming.

The Foil Frenzy DSP was cut using the largest square from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. Then I used a pieces of coordinating card stock an 1/8″ larger. One of my favorite things about SU is that all their products coordinate!

The Soft Sky version is on a Whisper White note card while the Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst versions are on Very Vanilla note cards.

The butterfly is from the Move Me Thinlits. This butterfly fits in the square perfectly. The decorative detail is from the Flourish Thinlits.

I used these cards to send thank you’s to three virtual colleagues. I think these will put a smile on their faces.

Celebration Time for FMS #297

Stampin Up Birthday Card idea Michelle Gleeson Celebration Time FMS297 Stampinup SU

Basic Black and Whisper White are always in style. Add the Celebration Time stamp set and Pick A Pattern Washi Tape to get a wow factor.

Today’s card was created for a dear friend whose birthday is this week and it was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketch Challenge.

The base of my card is 5″ x 5″ followed by a layer 1/4″ smaller. Then the focal point was created using 4 1/4″ and 4″ squares. The washi tape was laid and overlap in the lower right corner.

The balloons were created in a snap with the Balloon Bouquet punch. I used Silver Glimmer paper, Lemon Lime Twist and Tempting Turquoise card stock for the balloons. Then I tied Basic Black Baker’s Twine on the tow colored balloons and White Baker’s Twine left over from a Paper Pumpkin kit.

The sentiment on the front and the inside of the card is from Celebration Time. i decided to use the wonky square on the inside to coordinate with the outside. I think it gives the card a fun factor.

Happy Wishes Birthday Card

WPlus9 Happy Wishes Bundle SU 2017-2019 In-Colors Michelle Gleeson Birthday card idea

Today I created my own Designer Series Paper using stamps from WPlus9 Happy Wishes stamp set. I used the 2017-2019 In-Colors Tranquil Tide, Fresh Fig and Berry Burst along with the 2016-2018 In-Color Sweet Sugarplum. I used Clear Wink of Stella over all the Sweet Sugarplum flowers however I was not able to capture it in the photos.

The word Wishes was cut using the coordinating Happy Wishes dies. I cut it four times and layered the words to create depth.

The sentiment was heat embossed with White Stampin’ Embossed Powder.

You can see that I used a strip of the excess “DSP” I created and added it to the inside of my card.

The result is a bit outside my usual clean and simple design. I am trying to stretch myself a bit.

I was inspired by this week’s sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches to join in the fun.

Such a clean and simple layout provided a lot of latitude to create. I am enjoying working with the Stampin’ Up! Foil Frenzy Designer Series Paper (DSP) so I used that as my focal point.

I added a mat of Lemon Lime Twist card stock to bring the color out in the foil dots.
