I love the fun bright colors in this card. A simple card with a lot of pizzazz.

The details:

  • Card Base – Tangerine Tango 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″
  • First Layer – Real Red 4 1/8″ x 4 1/8″
  • Top Layer – Whisper White 4″ x 4″
  • Brights Enamel Shapes add a finishing touch

I like to carry the theme from the front of the card tot he inside of the card.

I hope this brightened your day. Make it a great one!

Wedding Wishes

I have been busy in my cart room creating halloween treat packaging for the children of my colleagues. It seemed like a great idea and now I am sick of halloween paper, stamps and dies. So it was great to work on a celebratory card. A woman in my office and her partner married last weekend she returns to work tomorrow so I want a card on her desk when she returns.

My inspiration came from Jari Frances, Cardiologybyjari.com. I liked the design concept and changed up the colors and a few of the details.

I have found the best tool to adhere these thinlit die cuts. I found these Sizzix Adhesive Sheets and it has been a game changer. I found mine at Hobby Lobby for $4.99. I highly recommend finding them and begin using them to save time and have each element adhere perfectly without any messy glue.

The inside sentiment came from Floral Phrases. A few more flowers from Jar of Love is the perfect finishing touch.

In Everything Give Thanks

Happy Thursday! It has been a long week for me so I am thrilled we are on the downside.

Today’s card was inspired by these beautiful fall colors from the uber talented Shawn de Oliveria. The colors led me to my Vintage Leaves Stamp set (one of my favs).

I used 2″ wide Post-It tape to mask the area where the sentiment would go and then I stamped my leaves. For one of the Emerald Envy leaves I stamped off once.

The sentiment is from Suite Seasons. Using my Stampin’ Write Markers I colored each element in a different color and stamped it. My Misti allowed me repeat this a couple of times to get the color depth that I wanted.

I hope you will play along with the Pals Paper Arts this week. Let’s hop over and see what the other design team members did with this color palette.

Halloween Night for FMS257

It has been some time since I participated in a Freshly Made Sketch challenge. This simple sketch pulled me in and I knew I had to play.

I adore the pumpkin in the Jar of Haunts Photopolymer Stamp Set and it was very easy to snip out. The Halloween Nights Specialty DSP has  great small pattern DSP to use as the background for Fall or Halloween cards.

The sentiment came from the Basket of Wishes Photopolymer stamp set. I used the retired Washi Tape punch. I was so sad to see this retire.
