You are Amazing

Stampin Up Special Reason Succulent Garden DSP Michelle Gleeson Stampinup SU

There is something so fun when your creative juices are flowing. I used the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper as my color inspiration.

Sweet Sugarplum
Mint Macaron
Whisper White
Tip Top Taupe

The focal point is 3 1/4″ x 4″ – the Mint Macaron piece is 1″ x 4″ and the Succulent Garden DSP 2 1/4″ x 4″. I hid the seam with  Mint Macaron Linen Ribbon.

The sentiment layer is 4″ x 1 1/4″ and the sentiment is from All Things Thanks. The flower was created using the Stylish Stems Framelits Dies in Sweet Sugarplum with a Mint Macaron center. The center was covered in Crystal Effects to create a bit of shine. The entire layer was popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The envelope flap was decorated with the same DSP used on the card.

Beautiful You – Live, Laugh, Love

Stampin Up Penned & Painted Beautiful You Encouragement Card Michelle Gleeson Stampinup SU

I have never considered myself artistic. However with Stampin’ Up! stamps, ink and paper I feel like an artist. I love the look of this card created using the Penned & Painted Photopolymer Stamp set.

The color palette of Watermelon Wonder, Flirty Flamingo and Cucumber Crush is feminine and bright.

The Beautiful You stamp set has stunning stamps and beautiful sentiments like the one used on this card. I was fortunate enough to win the Beautiful You stamp set at the OnStage event in Atlanta last November. I squealed with delight as it is one of my favorite sets in the Occasions catalog.

I hope I have inspired the artist in you today. There is creative energy flowing through each of us we just need to tap into it.

Fifteen Candles

Stampin Up Window Box Thinlits Endless Birthday Wishes Birthday card Michelle Gleeson Stampinup SU

I had fun making this birthday card. I cut out three squares using the Stitched Shapes Framelits then I cut out the candles from the Window Box Thinlit Dies. The candles are one of the dies to decorate the sides of the box. This thinlit set has so many possibilities.

Then I took vellum and brushed Daffodil Delight across it several times then adhered a strip of it behind the flame part of the candle. Then I cut strips of card stock to place behind each candle. I used Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Emerald Envy and Watermelon Wonder.

The sentiment is from Endless Birthday Wishes. One of my all time favorite stamp sets.

I added items to my Retired Product For Sale page. Take a peek here.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Moroccan Birthday Greetings

Stampin Up Moroccan Washi Tape Gorgeous Grunge Birthday card Michelle Gleeson Stampinup

I’m back! A quick shout out to Vicki H. who reached out this week saying she missed my posts. It made my day and nudged me to get back to posting on my blog. I have been blogging for several years and this is the first time I have gone longer than a week without a post.

So where have I been? We went to Chicago for Thanksgiving and had a blast. Then we came back to the whirlwind of the holiday season. Sound familiar? In addition, I have been creating projects and blog posts for another a high profile demonstrator since July which takes up time and creative mojo. Talk about pressure! And then of course my professional position, family needs and did I mention our house is for sale? Needless to say my blog has taken a back burner position. I have missed sending positive energy out into the blogosphere.

I hope each of you who follow me have been doing well. Let’s get onto the project.

This is a quick card that I CASE’d from Kimberly VanDiepen one of the Artisan Design Team members. I changed up a few things on the card.

I am always looking for ways to use the washi tape that seems to find its way into my cart. Then like Designer Series Paper, I “save it” rather than use it. Why do we do this?

The Details

  • The card is a standard 4 1/4″ x 5 1/5″ card base. I cut off 1/2″ along each side of the front of the card. Using my Stampin’ Trimmer I was able to easily slice right up to the fold in my card.
  • Add the Moroccan Designer Washi Tape on the inside of the card so the tape shows through with the top of the card closed.
  • Stamp the “splash” stamp from Gorgeous Grunge in Delightful Dijon all over the front of the card.
  • Add the washi tape to the front of the card.
  • The sentiment is from the Balloon Adventures Photopolymer Stamp set. Stamp the sentiment in Emerald Envy ink on Emerald Envy card stock for a subtle message. Crop it with the Tags & Labels Framelits.
  • With a few strands of thread from a piece of burlap ribbon tuck it behind the sentiment and pop it up on dimensionals.

Thanks for coming by and I look forward to seeing you more often.
