Birthday Cheer

A fun 4 1/4″ square birthday card using the NEW In-Color Pretty Peacock. It pairs beautifully with Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana and Pool Party.

Here I created frames using the Stitched Shapes Dies. The sentiment from Picture Perfect Birthday (retiring at midnight tonight) was heat embossed in White on Basic Black card stock and cut with the Stitched Rectangle Dies.

The present from Birthday Cheer (retiring at midnight tonight) is colored using Stampin’ Blends and then cut out with using my Scan n’ Cut. A few rhinestones add the finishing touch.

The inside sentiment is from Penny Black called Special Sentiments.

Mail Drop Birthday Card

Concord and 9th Mail Drop Bundle Birthday Card Michelle Gleeson

Today’s card features Concord & 9th’s new Mail Drop Bundle. This is such a clever bundle allowing you to easily create an interactive card. My card is not interactive but it gives the feel of movement with the note coming out of the little envelope.

This card is going to a crafty friend who is perfecting her Copic coloring with each day that goes by. The background was stamped with one of the stamps in the set and then colored with Petal Pink and Soft Seaform. A soft look and hard to capture in the sunlight.

And then on the inside is another sentiment from the same stamp set which sings Happy Birthday to the recipient.

Wherever you are, I hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Incredible Like You

Crafty Carrot Collective Inspiration Stampin UP Incredible Like You Michelle Gleeson SU Stampinup

Today’s cards were CASE’d from the talented designers of the Crafty Carrot Collective; former Stampin’ Up! Artisans who share their talents each month focused on showcasing a stamp set or project kit. This month they are focused on the Incredible Like You stamp set. They each created a 3 x 3 card as inspiration. I loved the cards and Copied And Selectively Edited (CASE) their designs.

I love time in my craft room yet there are periods of time when I don’t feel that creatively inspired. When that happens I often turn to CASE’ing other projects as I did here. The rewards are great and I often learn more design ideas.

Fable Friends

Stampin Up Fable Friends Easter Card idea Mcihelle Gleeson Stampinup SU

I have a quick and simple Easter card for you today. I adore this little rabbit from Fable Friends. One of my favorite books is The Velveteen Rabbit. It is such a beautiful story of love and connection. I certainly believe when we are loved we feel more real; more alive.

I used Crumb Cake card stock as my base and Blueberry Bushel to frame the focal point. The focal point was cut using a Simon Says Stamp die called Wonky Rectangles Stitched die.

The trio of easter eggs are from My Favorite Things Easter Bunnies stamp set. Stampin’ Blends (Crumb Cake, Petal Pink, Nigh of Navy, and Balmy Blue) were used to color the bunny and the eggs.
