Mingle All the Way

Mingle

I am finally breaking into my holiday stamps.  I know I am behind most demonstrators yet I struggle to create and push into Christmas before we celebrate other holidays such as Halloween and Thanksgiving.  Don't get me wrong, I LOVE all things Christmas.  And now I am excited to begin creating for the holidays.

Today is another Pals Paper Arts Challenge.  This week we transition into our sketch challenges.  This is a clean and versatile sketch, perfect for any occasion.

PPA228

I wanted to use some DSP for this card and selected this fun snowflake print from the Trim the Tree DSP Paper Stack.  This is a great deal only $6.95 for 48 double sided sheets of paper.  Perfect for lining envelopes, creating tags, cards and more.

The tag came from the Under the Tree Tag a Bag Accessory Kit.  I then stamped the sentiment from the Mingle All the Way stamp set in Versamark and embossed the image in Early Espresso Emboss Powder.  This gives the sentiment texture and shimmer against the printed tag.

Mingle all the way

You can see the shimmer in this photo.  The bow is made from the Crumb Cake Bakers Twine included in the Under the Tree Tag a Bag set.  I adhered the tag with Stampin' Dimensionals to add more interest to the card.

You can see I lined my envelope as well.  This is a cinch with the Under the Tree DSP and the Envelope Liner Framelit.

I hope you will play along with the Pals.  It is such fun to see your creations.  Check out the other design team members and play along here

Thanks for stopping by!

Bloom with Hope

Bloom with Hope

A clean and simple sympathy card today.  I have a colleague who was heading north to assist her mom with the declining health of her dad.  She was scheduled to leave last Friday but got a call on Wednesday that he was rapidly declining.  She left immediately.  On Friday we got news that she arrived safely and then a few hours later learned her dad had passed away.  It seems clear he hung on until she got there.  I think that is beautiful and I know she feels really good about it.

I wanted to get a card off to here quickly.  I started with a Whisper White Note Card and Envelope.  I love the weight of the Whisper White note card and hope Stampin' Up comes out with Whisper White in this heavier weight stock in the annual catalog.

The Bloom with Hope stamp set is one of the Hostess sets in the Annual Catalog.  This is such a pretty set.  I did not get it initially thinking I have plenty of floral stamp sets yet I love the simplicity and ability to use the Blendabilities to make each use unique.  I used the Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie Blendabilities.

NOTE: When you use the Blendabilities the ink bleeds through which is why I used another piece of Whisper White card stock for the images and popped them up on Stampin' Dimentionals and adhered to the Note Card.

I have used this sentiment before and it is not Stampin' Up.  It is a Verve stamp and I just love the font.

Thanks for stopping by.  Make it a great day!

Hello Monday

Hello MondayIsn't this image wonderful.  I have to thank a fellow Pal,  Rae Harper at Wild West Paper Arts, who had this on her blog and I could not resist Pinning it for another day on my own blog.  Doesn't that Cappuccino look yummy?

I hope you had a great weekend.  I had a terrific weekend.  The weather was spectacular, I spent time in my craft room, watched great football games and celebrated another birthday.

Sometimes it is easy to fall prey to pressure, stress and comparing ourselves to others. I know that I have fallen prey to this and it leaves me feeling empty and unhappy.  I have been making a conscious effort to focus on being grateful and the impact is amazing on how I feel.

So this morning I simply want to Thank YOU.  Thank you for being a regular follower of my blog.  When I create a post I am sending it out in hopes that it inspires and lifts someone else up.  In return when you comment or like a post on Facebook you lift me up knowing that someone is reading my blog.

So Happy Monday and thank you for being one of my blog readers!

Hugs,

Michelle
