A Confetti Celebration

Stampin Up Confetti Celebration Masculine Birthday Michelle Gleeson Stampinup

Sometimes creating a masculine birthday card can be a challenge. Today’s card is a clean masculine design compliments of the color palette from the Urban Underground DSP (recently retired). The colors are Basic Black, Delightful Dijon (retired) and Very Vanilla.

NEW Tranquil Tulips

Tranquil Tulips is one of the hostess sets in the 2017-2018 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. I could not wait to get my hands on this stamp set.

It is a photopolymer stamp set and super easy to line up for the perfect tulip every time.

I used Real Red, Pear Pizzazz, Basic Black and Whisper White as my color palette. Don’t you love the single tulip on the envelope as well?

The sentiment is from an Avery Elle stamp set called So Happy. I have had it for a long time and it is still one of my favorites. I stamped it in Basic Black Archival ink and heat embossed it with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder onto a 3/4″ piece of vellum. I wrapped the vellum around the front panel and adhered the vellum on the back side. The panel was added to the Real Red card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek. Have a fabulous day!

Triangle Turnabout

Two weeks ago I was fortunate enough to attend the Simon Says Stamps CREATE event in Columbus Ohio with my dear friend and fellow Pal Susan Itell of Simple Stampin’ . Susan had called me to join her several months ago and although I had no idea what I was signing up for I was ALL IN for girls weekend surrounded by stamps, paper and ink.

SSS CREATE event

Here we are with Jennifer McGuire and Kristina Werner two uber talented designers. It was an over the top amazing event.

A few weeks earlier Jennifer McGuire had demonstrated a new stamp set by Concord & 9th. Here is her video.

I thought it was the coolest stamp set. So while we were at the CREATE event Susan and I got our hands on the stamp set. I could not wait to ink it up.

I needed a masculine birthday card for a colleague so I used Stampin’ Up!’s new Lemon Lime Twist, Night of Navy, Delightful Dijon and a non- Stampin’ Up! frosted white embossing powder. It was my first try with this stamp set and I am pretty pleased with the result. I am sure it will get better with more practice.

I think the stamp set is so creative. You can use it with one set of triangles or continue to stamp as I did turning the paper four times to get this pattern. The possibilities are endless.

I saw that Concord & 9th has two more “turnabout” stamp sets coming out in June. I will keep my eyes open for those.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you were inspired to create something beautiful today.
