Sunshine Birthday Wishes for PPA 313

Stampin Up, PPA 313 Michelle Gleeson Flower PatchSunshine Wishes Stampinup

My StampinMojo came from this beautiful color palette Mary Fish put together for the Pals Paper Arts Challenge this week.

PPA-313-Aug11

I have loved Flirty Flamingo from the start and Peekaboo Peach is becoming another favorite. The Fresh Fruit DSP is the backdrop – fun and flirty on its own.

The Sunshine Wishes Thinlits make it so easy to create a beautiful bouquet for someone’s birthday. The sentiment is from the Flower Patch stamp set.

The inside received a bloom as well.

2016badge-blackberry

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for August 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes. This month we are featuring projects using our favorite Stampin’ Up! cutting tools. There are so many wonderful punches, framelits and edgelits available that help make papercrafting more detailed and fun! We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below. The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

Stampin Up Pals Blog Hop - Michelle Gleeson May Flowers Framelits Stampinup

This color combination of Smoky Slate, Elegant Eggplant, and Old Olive is very striking together. The Irresistibly  Floral DSP is the  back drop or my flower. Using a Sponge Brayer I added Smoky Slate until I achieved the color depth I wanted. The May Flower Framelits made creating this beautiful flower a snap. I strongly recommend using the Precision Base Plate, Magnetic Platform, and Die Brush for these framelits. A few brush strokes of of the die brush makes the flower drop right out of the framelit.

I added a piece of retired Wisteria Wonder Ruffled Ribbon.

Sunflower Birthday

Stampin Up, Touches of Texture, Serene Scenery, Birthday card ideas - Michelle Gleeson, SU

Good morning! Aren’t these sunflowers fun?

The base of the card is Crumb Cake. I took a piece of Serene Scenery DSP (3 1/2″ x 5 1/2″) and stamped two flowers from the Touches of Texture stamp set. The yellow color splash is Crushed Curry with a bit of Gold Wink of Stella to add some glam. (You can see the shimmer on the envelope flap.)

The center of the flower was stamped with the smallest flower center in the Flower Patch stamp set in Tangerine Tango. It is photopolymer so it was very easy to keep layering the ink to get the center the way I wanted it.

The sentiments are from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set.

This card is for a colleague who has a birthday at the end of the month. She lost her mom two years ago on her birthday so her birthday is tough day. She loves sunflowers so I thought it would brighten her day.

I hope you enjoyed the post today. The new Holiday Catalog is out and I have placed my pre-order. I can’t wait to show you some of the new goodies.

Flurry of Wishes

Yesterday demonstrators were able to pre-order from the holiday catalog. Each year I say I am not going to order much from the holiday catalog and each year Stampin’ Up! gives us amazing new products then I break down and order more than I should.

Stampin Up, Flurry of Wishes, Holiday card idea - Michelle Gleeson, stampinupTo get you warmed up I thought I would use one of the holiday stamp sets from the Annual Catalog – Flurry of Wishes for this weeks Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge. This week’s challenge was created by Linda Callahan. Her fresh and clean style never disappoints.

PPA-312-Aug04

The snowflakes were heat embossed with a mix of Dazzling Diamonds and White Emboss powder on Soft Sky card stock. I tried to capture the sparkle from the Dazzling Diamonds but it does not come close to what it looks like in person.

The Flower Medallion  and Snow Flurry Punches make “cutting out” the snowflakes easy peasy. A little Silver Metallic Thread adds more glam.

Of course the inside needed some snow flurries as well.

I had fun with this challenge. Please jump of to Pals Paper Arts and see what the designers did with the sketch and then add your project for all to see. We would love to see your creativity showcased!
