A Scenic Swirly Love Note

Happy Thursday, the gateway to the weekend! Of course it also means we have a Pals Paper Arts challenge. We have a Color Challenge from Windy Ellard. Windy is one of the most giving people I have know. She is always there providing information to demos within the Pals group. She epitomizes what it means to be a Pal.

Don’t you love the color combination she has given us? Let’s see what I came up with.

I am tickled with this card. The swirl DSP is from the Serene Scenery DSP Paper Stack. This stack has creative designs as well as beautiful scenery DSP. Picking up on the design I added a swirly from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits. Such a fun new thinly set which I am seeing all over Pinterest. The bold sentiments are from Scenic Sayings Stamp Set.

For the inside I carried the theme of the swirls by stamping the small swirl from the Swirly Bird Stamp Set. The sentiment is from the Love & Affection Stamp Set.

When I received my recent order of new items from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog I did not know what to ink up first. I created a few things and then bam my StampinMojo went dry. I think I went into creative overload with too many choices of amazing stamp sets. So I decided to begin CASE’ing (copy and Selectively Edit) Projects within the catalog.

I CASE’d the cards on page 143 using the Penned & Painted stamp set. You can see my CASE of the other card here.

This is a great way to begin learning the many creative options within a new stamp set. I don’t know that I would have used the dots and the small flower in this manner. I adore the result. Rather than a pop of pink ribbon I opted to use my Bermuda Bay 1/8″ Stitched Ribbon.

This also gave me the chance to use my new Brushed Alphabet Photopolymer stamp set. This set is a keeper and will stay in my stamp collection forever. LOVE the font and because it is photopolymer is super EASY to use.

And you know I had to bring the design to the inside of the card. Sweet!

Get Well Bouquet for GDP#39

This week over at the Global Design Project site they have a Theme Challenge: Get Well Soon. This stamp set is called Get Well from Avery Elle. I loved the font (you already know that I cannot walk away from a beautiful font) so it had to go into my shopping cart.

A very clean and simple card. The colors are Old Olive, Calypso Coral, and Daffodil Delight. I used retired SU Washi Tape along the sides of the base of the card.

The small flowers are popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals to add texture and depth to the card. The card face is also popped up on dimensionals.

I continued the design theme of the card inside. I adore having more than the sentiment on the inside of the card.

My card was CASE’d (Copy And Selectively Edit) from the SU Annual Catalog. I used Pool Party in lieu of Soft Sky because I goofed up. The sentiment is from Flourishing Phrases, a must-have set in your collection. There are front and coordinating inside card sentiments.

I added a simple bow made of Silver Cord (retired from the 2015 Holiday Catty). I really like how it ties so I am going to use it up.
