Another Paper Pumpkin Alternative

Paper Pumpkin, StampinMojo, Vertical Greetings

Stampin’ Up’s Paper Pumpkin series continues to get better with each kit. Last month was fantastic and offered the opportunity for so many alternative projects. See my other alternative projects here. I had saved one last card as I knew I was ordering the Vertical Greetings Stamp set on June 1st. This was the very first thing I did after opening my box of new goodies.

A few burlap strands add a bit more texture to the card.

Then I inked up another new stamp called Stylized Birthday. This single stamp is going to get a LOT of use.

Join me as a Paper Pumpkin subscriber. It is so fun to come home to that orange box to see what fun project is in store for us that month. And the stamp sets alone are worth it. I have used them over and over again.

Irresistibly May Flowers

StampinMojo, May Flowers, Irresistibly Floral DSP

My card base is 3 1/2″ x 7″ and it features one of the NEW in-colors Peekaboo Peach. This color is growing on me as I use it. The DSP is also new it is called Irresistibly Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper. The paper is embossed and comes to life as you add color. I used my old brayer and Sahara Sand Ink. SU has a new tool called a Sponge Brayer that they recommend you use with these papers. There were so many other things that I wanted with my first order that this tool took a back burner. It will be on my next order though as I love this embossed DSP.

The ribbon is also new it is called Very Vanilla 1/2″ Lace Trim. It is sweet and simple.

The flowers are from the new bundle of May Flowers Framelits and Falling Flowers Stamp set. I could not wait to ink this up. I added Crystal Effects to the center of the flowers. You can see them catching the light in the photo.StampinMojo, Falling Flowers, Stylized Birthday

I carried the theme to the inside of the card as well. The flourish was stamped off once before stamping onto the Whisper White card stock. The sentiment is the new Stylized Birthday single stamp. I LOVE the font of this stamp.

Are you loving this new SU annual catalog as much as I am? My wish list was so long. I made a large dent with my first order however I am sure the list will continue to grow as I see the stamps being used.

Thanks for stopping by.

Vertical Greetings for GDP #38

Happy Weekend! Yesterday I received my box of brand new goodies from Stampin’ Up!  I am so excited to start sharing some of the new items with you. This week’s Global Design Project sketch is perfect to showcase one of my new favorite stamp sets.

GDP #38

It is called Vertical Greetings – LOVE it.

StampinMojo, GDP#38, Vertical Greetings Stamp Set, Petal Burst Embossing Folder

I love the topiaries as well as the fact that the greetings run vertically. Haven’t you wanted to have something run vertically on your project while not having the recipient need to turn their head to read it?

There are more new items showcased here for you. The new Textured Embossing Folder called Petal Burst, Copper Thread, and the sentiment is from Sunshine Sayings. The font is fabulous. Click on any of the items to begin shopping now.

A Banner Birthday!

My card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge has a lot of texture. Creating my card was a bit challenging because we just transitioned to the new catalog and many items retired. I am awaiting my large order of new goodies. Most items used are active catalog items, the only retired item is the burlap ribbon.

Our host this week over at the Pals Paper Arts is Shawn de Oliveira. Shawn became a Pal last year and has wow’ed us with each of his creations both for the Pals and the Global Design Team. He is one very talented individual. Here is the badge for this week.

PPA303My card base is Sahara Sand (love the color) followed by a layer of Night of Navy. Then I took my Whisper White card stock and embossed the bottom half with the Lucky Stars Textured Embossing Folder. I cut the edges off the  1 1/8″ Burlap Ribbon and removed a couple of strands to create the fringe edges. I took those strands and tied them together to create the knotted strands. The banners were created from the Banners Framelits.

The inside carries over the banners. The sentiment is from a long ago retired set called Make a Wish. I actually cut this stamp to isolate the “Make a Wish” sentiment.
