Quick & Easy Valentine Card

On Saturday I went into my craft room and for the first time in many weeks my StampinMojo was in full swing. Ideas seemed to just flow as I worked. It felt great to find my rhythm again.

I was focusing on Valentine cards during my crafting session as February 14th will be here in the blink of an eye.

Crumb Cake Note cards & Envelopes, Love Blossoms DSP, StampinMojo

This card came together very quickly and was inspired by the Love Blossoms DSP stack and The Paper Players theme. This 6 x 6 stack of Love Blossoms DSP is filled with great designs. Most of the prints are small making them easier to use. (I find it more difficult to use the busy pattern DSP’s even though I love the designs.)

I used the retired Hearts Collection Framelits (second smallest) and cropped out four hearts from the DSP. I added the Sahara Sand 7/8″ Lace Trim, wrapping around the card front. I love how beautifully this ribbon ties. The hearts were adhered with Multipurpose Glue to ensure I had wiggle room as I lined them up. Note: start in the middle and then add the top and bottom hearts.

The sentiment came from the Blooming’ Love stamp set. The more I use the Photopolymer Stamp sets the more I love them. It makes stamping so much easier being able to line things up without my Stamp-a-ma-jig. I used my Bitty Banner Framelit to cut out the banner I wanted. It was tied to the Lace Trim with Linen Thread.

A quick and easy valentine card that I think is adorable. I would love to hear what you think? Do you have a quick and easy valentine to share? Send it to me as I would love to showcase your work!

I hope I inspired you to create some valentine’s for those you love.

Rose Garden Birthday

StampinMojo, Rose Garden Thinlits, PPA283

Each year I doing something different for associates’ birthdays. Last year everyone received some type of SU box, pillow, bag, etc filled with chocolates. This year I am doing individual birthday cards with a scratch off lottery ticket. So I have been busy creating birthday cards for the January birthdays.

I could not wait to use the Rose Garden thinlits. The rose reminds me of the beautiful rose frame we had in last year’s occasions catalog embellishment kit.

PPA283, palspaperarts.com

When I saw this week’s Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge I thought it would showcase the rose perfectly. The vivid pink of the Melon Mambo and the soft Mint Macaron against the black card stock is so striking.

I used the smaller rose and the separate leaf branch. I cut off one leaf on each branch so I could tuck the branches under the rose so it looked like one rose branch.

The sentiment is from one of my favorites stamp sets – Endless Birthday Wishes. I adore the font. If you don’t have this set you should click shop now . This is such a versatile set. I forgot to add this to the product list below – the sentiment is stamped with the Basic Black Archival ink. LOVE this new black ink pad!

I do hope you play along with the Pals this week. The colors are so fun.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sky is the Limit Masculine Birthday

Sky is the Limit, StampinMojo, Michelle Gleeson, Masculine Birthday

Using the Pals Paper Arts Sketch again as my inspiration I created this masculine birthday card. The background is from the Going Places DSP stack. This 6″ x 6″ paper stack is filled with fabulous designs and perfect for masculine cards. I have always loved compass imagery.

To add a bit of color I added a small strip of Delightful Dijon card stock.

The airplane and the sentiment are from the Sale-A-Bration stamp set called Sky is the Limit. It is a great set and available for FREE when you spend $50. This stamp set is only available through February 15th so place your order early to snatch this up!
